For some reason my key doesn’t have a board inside it for the remote central locking. I’d like it to have remrke central locking bit o thought I’d get the central locking working first. Also, the drivers front and passenger front doors lock off the key but only the drivers front opens off the key. The button on the dashboard only locks too.
Insert key into ignition and turn to ignition and back 4 times in quick succession. You will then hear a chime which indicates you are in the central locking programming mode. remove key and press the lock and unlock (although I only needed to press the lock) button on the remote. The central locking on my Citroen Berlingo Multispace (Jul 2005 M59) 2.0 Hdi locks perfectly but won't unlock using either the plip key, non plip key, or dashboard button. All doors have to be unlocked manually. 1) Put the HF key to be synchronized in position "ignition +". 2) Press one of the HF key buttons within the next 10 seconds. 3) Release the HF key button. 4) The ignition key HF PLIP is synchronized. 5) Repeat and perform previous operations for the other keys equipped with HF remote control. The problem in question must therefore be rectified. If despite everything it is impossible to close manually and electrically, it is because the system has a problem. Do not panic, it will suffice to lubricate it or replace it with a new one if the latter is completely defective. Citroen Berlingo 2 Multispace: central locking no longer worksOne of the first steps is to check the power supply of the central locking system, as this may be the cause of the issue. If the power supply is not providing enough voltage to the system, this could be the cause of the problem. It’s also important to inspect the wiring of the system. AApvd.
